How It All Began
Our founder Bob Platt began rubbish removal in 1979.
Someone needed help getting rid of their rubbish so Bob, using his Volvo station wagon with the inside lined in plastic, picked up his very first customer.
In 1981, Bob purchased his first truck and began servicing customers in the Kailua Kona, Holualoa, Kealakekua, and Keauhou areas under the name PFI Rubbish Service, Inc.
In December 1991, our rubbish removal services were then expanded to include Waimea and Waikoloa.
PFI Rubbish Service is still proudly servicing our customers with a fleet that has now grown to over 15 rubbish trucks!
We've got Rear Loaders, Manual Side Loaders , Automated Side Loaders and now Rolloff and Front Load Rubbish Trucks. Keep an eye out for our distinctive blue trucks, hard at work anywhere from Kohala Ranch to Middle Keei Road.
